Modalities 

Acupuncture: The insertion of thin, stainless steel needles into selected points 

        on the body to tonify, sedate & recirculate qi and blood. 

Moxabustion: The herb used is Artemisia Vulgaris. It is burned over certain 

         areas or points on the body warms the body, expel cold, 

         disperse damp & move qi and blood. 

Cupping: A vacuum is created in a glass cup using fire to deplete oxygen levels. 

          The cup(s) is then placed on the body part or point to be treated. 

          Cupping moves qi and blood and helps to draw out and 

          eliminate pathogenic factors such as wind, cold, damp & heat. 

Gua Sha: This is a simple and ancient technique which utilizes a soft-edged tool to scrap the skin. 

          It is used in acute conditions to expedite the healing process. 

          It can be used in chronic conditions as well to relieve pain and tension. 

Electrical Stimulation: The use of electrodes to enhance needle sensation. 

         I use e-stim to relieve muscular tension and to treat neurolgical disorders.
